

Shining Bright Chapter TwoShe walked up the steps to the car factory. It was covered in dead, colorless ivy. The windows were blacked out except the ones toward the south which had a view of the once sandy beach. Once the ozone was gone the sun was able to turn the whole beach into glass, which the sun normally reflected upon at about noon. But, that was no problem because they pulled the curtains down. Shanna walked over to her desk near the front door. She was part of the design team who worked on new cars that were smaller and took less AIO. Their latest was something that looked like an old Volkswagen Beetle. Or at least the frame of one. &Shining Bright Chapter Two


PrologueWalking down the familiar gray street with the sky above her an orangey pink, it sort of reminded her of the old days, if it werent for the people around her. The city was like it was at dawn every morning for the past ten years: gray buildings with very bright sunlight reflecting off the windows. The sunlight, in fact, was so bright that if any one of the people out there hadnt had there night filter contacts in or SPF 100 sunscreen on they would be blind or dead. They say that in about ten more years everyone will have adapted and not have to wear at least the sunscreen. Of course, thats what they said nine years ago. AbovPrologue
